Department of General Education, ESL and English
Area: Teaching English to Second Language Learners, English, Environmental Science, Psychology, and Sociology. Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred. Candidates must have 2-3 years of experience in their field of expertise. Knowledge of second language acquisition and techniques for teaching English Provide rigorous and appropriate instruction to ESL students that supports the acceleration of English Promote students’ learning and acquisition of the necessary skills to become proficient in English through writing, speaking and listening; Excellence in oral, written communications, and presentation skills.
Department of Business and Accounting
Areas include: Economics, Finance, Marketing, Business Law, and Accounting (Quickbooks & Taxation) Bachelor’s degree required, but MA, MS, or MBA degree preferred
Candidates should have a minimum of 12 credits in subject areas, Minimum 1-2 years teaching experience in higher education. Excellence in oral, written communications, and presentation skills.
Department of Information Systems and Mathematics
Areas include: Business Mathematics, Keyboarding, Microsoft Office, Operating Systems, Desktop Publishing, Internet, and Multimedia. Bachelor’s degree required, but Master’s degree preferred Candidates who have not earned their degrees in computer science/information systems, and/or mathematics, should have a minimum of 15 credits in these subject areas Minimum 2-3 years teaching experience in higher education Excellence in oral, written communications, and presentation skills Certification in the latest Microsoft Office suite software, including but not limited to operating systems and keyboarding, or completion of a certificate program at an accredited college/university, or other institution qualified by the NYS Department of Education.

ANTICIPATED FACULTY OPENINGS

Professional Business College (PBC) is a two-year, not-for-profit independent college located in the Tribeca/ Chinatown neighborhood of Manhattan.
PBC has a student body of 900-1000 students in the Associate of Occupational Studies degree with majors in Accounting, Business Management, and Office Technology, and a certificate program in ESL, Hospitality Management, Accounting Assistant, Business Interpreting, Office Specialist, Business Accounting Specialist, Customer Service Relationship Management, Administrative Office Specialist, General Business and Office Specialist/Security Management. At PBC education is considered to be an inclusive and collaborative enterprise. We believe in the power of education to change lives and communities.
